It is been a long journey for KOLKATA NETWORK OF HIV POSITIVE(KNP+), and it is the time to rejoice and recount the way the organization has grown in members. We are right now a strong group of 4000 (excluding children) members across Kolkata District. It is also the time to remember many of our friends, whom we have lost on our journey, continue to provide us with motivation and enthusiasm to move forward. Many of us have experienced stigma and discriminatory attitudes. When this prevents the ostracized individual from accessing services, it becomes a matter of life and death. Women Living with HIV/AIDS are one of the most vulnerable groups in these matters. To address positive women's concerns we are planning to form a district Women's Forum, which will work specially for women and children.
